Erin Smart is a UIAGM/IFMGA mountain guide based in La Grave, France.
Originally from Seattle, she grew up skiing and climbing in the Cascades of Washington State and has since traveled and worked in mountain ranges around the world including Norway, Alaska, Himalaya, and the Alps. She has been mountain guiding since 2010 and has been spending time in La Grave since 2004.
Erin has pioneered many first ski descents in the Cascades of Washington State, in Alaska, and in the Alps.
In addition to working year round in the mountains, she is a freelance writer for several outdoor magazines and is a Pro Winter Athlete for SCOTT Sports.
