COURMAYEUR, ITALY

Courmayeur is a small Italian town at the base of the southern side of Mont Blanc. While the other side of the mountain, Chamonix, is famous around the world, Courmayeur has done an excellent job keeping their secret quieter. Whether skiing in the main ski area where there are endless backcountry options, or ski touring in the Aosta valley, or skiing the “Italian Vallée Blanche” which is called the Vallée Noire, you will not be disappointed by this Italian mountain paradise.

When I lived in Chamonix for 4 years, we would often drive through the tunnel to Courmayeur to experience its couloirs, powder, and amazing food and coffee! We used to joke, “everything in Italy is twice as good and half the price!” Come experience this amazing place!

I recommend around 4 days to explore this incredible ski destination. Maximum ratio is 4 skiers to 1 guide.
