Flying in, the beauty of the mountains rising out of the sea quieted my fears about the lack of snow. The water is tropical blue, with the smell of seaweed next to the snowy road. Looking up, there are endless possibilities scattered on every mountainside.
The first week here was testing with heavy rains up to the top of the peaks, but adventure prevailed and we were still able to find good skiing everyday.
The temperatures finally dropped and a clean slate fell all the way down to the sea. The skies cleared and Lofoten shared its magic.
